We adopted Honey in the middle of June and she has been absolutely wonderful. It didnt take her long to get comfortable with us and her brother, Capone. Those two play all day and night and even though Capone has 20lbs on her, Honey usually ends up on top. When they are not wrestling, she is either on her bed or lying down next to our feet. She is the sweetest girl and can never get enough affection. And like her foster mom advised, Honey does have an affinity for shoes.
When we adopted Honey, she was just coming off heart worm treatment. It has been a real joy to watch her gain more energy with each passing day. Now, she has the stamina to take 1 to 1 ½ mile walks and pounces on her toys the way boxers do. We attempted to teach her some tricks and commands but shed rather just receive the treat. Honey does know how to sit and stay (only briefly) but to shake, lie down, sit up, and leave it seems to be beneath this little princess.
Honey is everything we were looking for when we decided to rescue a boxer through Legacy. She is very happy at her new home and she is a treasure to have.
